quick tips

5 things businesses can be doing RIGHT NOW!

  • EMAIL: Send out an email to your current mailing list letting your clients know that you are thinking of them, and tell them ways they can support you and your business during this time. Is your business now online? Can they be booking with you at a later date? Can they order products to be shipped to them? Can they purchase a gift certificate? Can they get items/products delivered or pick them up outside your shop? Do you offer your classes remotely? Can they find you on Facebook or Instagram or Zoom? Update clients, keep them in the loop, let me know what you want and need, and make it easy for them to support you and keep doing business with you.

  • FACEBOOK LIVE: Connect with your clients by going live. Introduce yourself and your business! If no one is on that’s ok- many people will view the video later. You can also answer questions about your business, or questions that clients currently have or have asked in the past. Feature a service or product you offer. Do you live demo or share a tip.

  • REVIEWS: Take this time to reach out to past clients and collect testimonials and reviews. By adding Google reviews you will rank higher in searches and improve your ranking. Send a personalized email simply asking if they have a quick minute to leave a review. If you are a seasonal business, let them know that you depend on these reviews (as opposed to word-of-mouth) to reach new customers. You can keep the email short and make sure to include the link! Take your reviews and put them on your website and share them on social media.

  • SOMETHING SPECIAL: Instead of discounting right now, depending on your business, you could offer a payment plan (or longer payment plan). You can also add value by including something extra when they book with you or make a purchase (an extra item? an extra class?)

  • WEBSITE: Take this time to update your website. Update your ‘About’ page and photos, making sure your content is relevant, modern, and informative. Most importantly make it easy for customers to find you, navigate your site, and book with you or pay you. Make sure your location (and storefront address if you have one) are on every page (this can bet as a footer at the bottom).
