WHAT HAPPENS BEFORE THE SESSION? 

We have a pre-consultation, either in person or on the phone, where we go over the session details and answer any questions you may have. At this point we also start talking about what how you would like to display your images- prints, wall art, albums, etc. 

WHAT ARE SOME POPULAR LOCATIONS FOR PORTRAIT SESSIONS?

Some of my favorite locations to photograph are listed below, but many families opt for a local beach or home, or a place special meaning.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? 

If the weather is less than optimal the day of the session, it can be rescheduled. We make sure to fit you in before you leave! Cloudy and overcast days make for beautiful lighting, so we only reschedule for rain or crazy wind.

WHAT IF I HAVE A BLEMISH?

Don't worry! Simple touch-ups can be made during editing, and are included in the session fee.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

I recommend earth tones (light or dark)- avoid logos or loud colors and prints. For couples and families, try to coordinate colors and prints rather than matching outfits. 

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SESSION?

We have fun! The time we spend together is casual and laid back. We will do a combination of posed groupings and candid images. At any location we move around a bit, often finding natural props: logs, patches of flowers, benches, etc. I'm documenting an hour of you enjoying your family together outdoors. All family members are included in the session, and any and all the groupings you would like. 

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION? 

After the session we meet at my studio in Harwich Port (or I can come to your resort or summer rental) for the Viewing & Ordering Session. We look through your images, narrow down your favorites, and place your order. All deciding members must be in attendance. **All orders must be placed and paid for at this session. This session takes about 1 hour and can be scheduled as early as the next day.

HOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO SPEND?

You only purchase what you love— there are no set packages or minimum orders required, so the the investment is flexible and entirely up to you. Some families spend a few hundred, while others spend a few thousand or more. I view my work as art and strive to serve families who would love to put art on their walls and in their homes. While you can purchase digital files, my studio focuses on high quality tangible products to be passed down through the generations.
